Coaches

My name is Scott McFadden and I’m really excited to be part of the coaching staff for this upcoming summer. I am currently a senior at Douglas County High School and I plan on graduating this May and attending Emory University this fall. I am hoping to major in Business or Finance. I started swimming my freshman year, and I was immediately hooked! I joined Castle Rock Swim Team the following spring and continued to swim with them, as well as the High School Team. I am also considering competing at the college level. My goals for this season are:

  1. Work hard-I believe that with hard work, amazing things can be accomplished
  2. Do your best- This is my main goal. I believe that the main component of racing is living in the moment that you exerted your best effort in your event. As long as you always do your best and follow my first goal, you will succeed, guaranteed.
  3. HAVE FUN- Enjoy swimming! It is a wonderful and lifelong sport. For the first time swimmers, I hope that you learn to embrace the sport and all the skills and lessons that come with it

Again, I am thrilled to be part of the coaching staff! I look forward to watching all of you become better swimmers and enjoy the wonderful summer!

Hi my name is Jane Blount and I am very excited to be an assistant coach for the Stingrays this summer! I am 17 years old and currently attending Douglas County High School. I have been swimming competitively for 9 years, and have swam varsity for my high school team for three. I have lived in Castle Pines Village for 9 years as well, but have never swam for the Stingrays. I am a lifeguard and I teach swim lessons during the school year at the Castle Rock Rec Center. I am really excited to coach this summer, and I am looking forward to a great season!

My name is Nick Zeuli and I am excited to be rejoining the Stingrays for the 9th consecutive year. I am 16 years old and I’m going into my junior year at Regis Jesuit High School.  I recently completed my second year of swimming with the Nationally Ranked and 13 consecutive state title winning Regis Raiders. I’m very excited to be working with all the Stingray swimmers again this year. I look forward helping out all the kids. I’m excited to help the swimmers improve their stoke technique, as well as racing ability. This is going to be fun and successful season!
